The ASSESS Platform

The ASSESS Platform is the secure software used to complete projects.  All participants in a project work on the platform, and have specific tasks assigned to structure their contribution.

Assessor

The Assessor is responsible for providing expert analysis of a product in development in the context of the project request and objectives. The Assessor may be a subject matter expert in one or many facets of the project, and is recruited based on their experience and expertise.

Assessment

An assessment is analysis performed the by the Assessors.  It follows structure guidance and methods available on The ASSESS Platform, and is the basis for the contents of the project deliverables.  

Agreement

Agreements are used as documents to define the project scope, pricing and deliverables. These can be Statements of Work, or other documents that frame projects and describe specific deliverables.

Client

The client provides the initial project request which is evaluated by the Project Administrator. The Client can be an organization that would like a detailed assessment of a product under development in order to achieve key milestones, a research institute seeking a review and prioritization of products they are considering for further investment, or any organization wanting a deeper investigation of product viability and potential future success.

Project

A Project is an assessment requested by a Client to answer specific questions about a product or to support achievement of key commercialization milestones.    A project will have an agreed upon timeframe and price set prior to starting, which is captured in an Agreement - a Statement of Work.

Assessment Input

Assessment Input documents provide information from the client to the Project Administrator, and to the Assessor to help complete the Assessment. They capture information about the product in development, its intended use, and the use case for the requested assessment. 

Project Administrator

The Project Administrator is responsible for the coordination of the project, providing support to the Assessor, communication with the client, and for quality assurance.  This role is filled by someone who is typically an expert in the field of health technology assessment and has years of experience to provide support and contribution. 

Terms of Service

Terms of Service are accepted by both clients and Assessors who work on The ASSESS Platform.  They represent the important legal arrangement between parties, for example those relating to confidentiality and IP. 

Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy describes how The ASSESS Platform will consider and manage information provided by users of the platform.
